Spring is traditionally a busy time for us. And this year is no exception!
The big news, of course, is the release of Ben Van Dongen’s new novella, The Neon Heart. Book two in The Synthetic Albatross Series, The Neon Heart further explores the world introduced in The Thinking Machine. A must read for fans of sci-fi, The Neon Heart is available for purchase online, here, and locally at Biblioasis, Indigo and Anchor Coffee House. Or, you could always snag a copy in person at one of the upcoming evets AWP will be attending in the next few weeks.
Up first, The Windsor Small Press Fair. This event, which goes down Saturday, April 13th, will feature several local publishers (Including Palimpsest Press, Mirror World Publishing and Biblioasis), and is a great way to meet both authors as well as publishers.
Next, AWP will be represented by Christian Laforet and Ben Van Dongen in Sarnia on Sunday, April 14th at the Sarnia Pop Culture Show. Christian and Ben will be guests at the con and will have several titles on hand for selling and signing. This convention is always a great time, so if you are in the area, makes plans to stop in!
And to end the month off (Saturday, April 27th), Christian and Ben will be hanging out for a few hours at Biblioasis for Independent Bookstore Day. A variety of local authors will be stopping in throughout the day to chat will customers and talk books. Ben and Christian will be there from 12pm until 3pm.
As always, keep an eye on our event page, we are constantly updating it, and happy readings!
